Jayden Ali: Visiting Professor
We are proud to announce that our Director, Jayden Ali, has been teaching at three prestigious higher education institutions.
Jayden has been a Visiting Professor at Politecnico di Milano for the Milano Intensive Design Studio (MInDS), the Master’s Degree in Architecture-Built Environment-Interiors, École Spéciale d’Architecture, Paris and the Dean’s Visiting Professor for Advanced Studio VI at Columbia University, the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP).
Appointments are offered only to experts in specialised fields of knowledge, for a stated term.
“Anyone who knows my story knows I love education - and miss Central Saint Martins: Architecture in an Art and Design School, but had to let it take a back seat for a while to focus on the studio. A decision driven by me feeling there were no shining lights in the architecture world that looked like me, sounded like me, or practiced in the way I wanted - both at the centre and on the edges – exploring the themes I think important.
Having spent the past 4 years honing, crafting and shaping what I think/hope is a successful-ish studio, I’m ready and excited to step back into the classroom. Excited to spend time in these phenomenal cities, make new friends and let the work and conversation guide things.” - Jayden Ali
